David Wightman

David Wightman is a British painter and printmaker based in London, UK.
He creates beautiful paintings and prints of fictional landscapes.
The surfaces of his paintings are made from textured wallpaper collaged with a technique similar to marquetry. Wightman’s landscape prints are all based on initial sketches originally made for his paintings. Colour and composition are the key aspects of his work. He studied Fine Art at Middlesex University (2001) and gained an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art, London (2003). His work has been exhibited extensively throughout the UK, Canada, France, Japan, and the USA.
