Catherine Lette is a practicing painter living and working in South London. With a BA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martin’s, Lette is enjoying developing her practice on the Turps Off-site Painting Program.
Lette’s work is concerned primarily with the figure and questioning the impact of contemporary life upon body and mind. Inspired by current events and the cosmopolitan city, she uses drawing and painting from life alongside memory to explore embodiment and disembodiment in the real and virtual spaces that we live in today. Lette’s painting ‘Unquilted’ has been shortlisted for the Jackson’s Painting Prize 2021.
