George Wills
Born in Devon, 1995, Wills studied at Wimbledon College of Arts (2014/17) and Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Braunschweig (2016). He has exhibited across the UK, Germany and Spain, including John Moores Painting Prize 2021, at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool.
Suspicious of invention, the paintings navigate a conflict between information and pictorial economy. His work is indebted to European cinema and the efficiency of Baroque painting.
