Ian Dawson (b.1969) works with 3d prints in exciting, new and unexpected ways. His recent large scale sculptures are currently on show at Saatchi Gallery, London. A series of relief works 'Apophenia Versus Randomania' are available only at the Art Car Boot Fair. In these new works Dawson uses the 3d printer like a pen to draw with, utilising the pattern making qualities of the machine to create works with powerful and dramatic results.
He has exhibited extensively with solo shows in New York, London and Paris and has works in both public and private collections worldwide. His work is featured in Contemporary British Sculpture (Schiffer), Collage, Assembling Contemporary Art (Black Dog) and Making Contemporary Sculpture (Crowood Press). He lives and works in London.
