Marie Brenneis’s Conceptual coloured drawings. She’s interested in Drawing what can’t be said; realism bores her; intuition drives her creative process. Using felt tips , ink, gauche & spray paint . Also she plays with collage, to disparate things and conjoin to obscure their edges and twist their meaning.
Marie explores the Dulling of Colour. Marie is also the author of the book: The Dulling of Colour, which will be published in early 2026.
Her drawings have been turned into large scale 3D painting, installation, sculpture and performance. A Reader in Colour, she draws from the absence and restrain of bright colours in Western Art and society.
