Paul Sakoilsky is a British born, East London based artist and writer. He is well known for ‘The Dark Times’ (began, in 2007, at the heart of which is a series of hundreds of overpainted tabloid newspapers, mostly free London tabloids); for the anarchic, interactive Kunst Clown performances, expressive painting and spoken word.
There is a diaristic aspect to much of his work. Ideology critique, power structures, explorations of consciousness and perception, form/chaos, structure, freedom. All the work begins from a phenomenological standpoint of Be-ing in the world. What is it to be in such a world, a world of the integrated networks of informational overload, of hyper-capitalism and climate change - but one that is also a world of ‘beauty’, community, and at the very least of fascination. “The fabric of underground London’s artscene”, his work is shown, published and collected internationally.
