LOW LIFE

Low Life logo

Low Life is the best night you never heard of. A “professional house party,” started in 1995 in Harlem, USA by dance music supremos Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton, Low Life brought New York’s hedonistic dance floor spirit to the UK in 1998 and never looked back. Grown strictly by word-of-mouth, there’s a rare spirit of fun and togetherness to be had.

Expect a warm welcome, devoted dancers across the generations, and some of the best dance music known to mankind.

12PM
FRANK BROUGHTON
is a DJ, writer and music historian, co-author of Last Night a DJ Saved My Life: The History of the Disc Jockey, recently updated and reissued in paperback by White Rabbit Books.

3PM
SARAHTONIN
is a young and rising star on the scene with an incredible knowledge of music and a much-loved show on Do You Radio.

Come early for the art, then stay for the party…

EAT & DRINK

DISHOOM, Granary Square, Kings Cross

The Art Car Boot Fair has a fully stocked bar but is also surrounded by cool places to eat, drink, shop and hang out. Once you have your wristband, you can pop in and out of the event as often as you like - here are just a couple of the places we love in Kings X:

COFFEE - lovely coffee from the  cafe on Lewis Cubitt Square.

CANOPY MARKET - for the market buzz and the best artisan produce, original art and designer makers, street food and craft drinks, all under a steel and glass roof round the corner from Granary Square.

DISHOOM - for sustainability and locally sourced fresh produce, and delivering great vibes. Every wine is low intervention and from small batch producers, their cocktails all have a twist, and the team are ready to welcome you this weekend!

MARE STREET MARKET - All manner of delicious food and refreshments at this market style cornucopia.

HOW TO GET HERE

The Art Car Boot Fair is located in Lewis Cubitt Square, Kings Cross, N1C 4DR (Google Maps).

The entrance is actually on the Lewis Cubitt Walk side of the square, directly opposite the steps at the north end of Coal Drop Yard.

The ACBF Goes Into SPACE in Lewis Cubitt Square

Tube: King's Cross St. Pancras - follow the exit signs for Regent's Canal and you'll exit the station at the German Gymnasium restaurant, which is the closest exit to Lewis Cubitt Square.

Buses: 10, 17, 30, 45, 46, 59, 63, 73, 91, 205, 214, 259, 390 & 476.
