Queen and Country. Well, they didnt specify which Queen so Dolt Wisney decided to celebrate a slightly more ancient Queen than old Liz. The Romans weren't given to praising their defeated foes but Tacitus' celebrated quote does hint that perhaps even contemporary Romans thought she had just cause to burn Colchester, St Albans and London to the ground! The X in this piece alludes to the myth that she is buried beneath platform 10 of Kings Cross. The background is from an original photograph of the floor at Upper Campfield Market in Manchester where early Roman settlements can be found nearby.
