These prints provide the WORLD'S FIRST UNDENIABLE EVIDENCE of the actual existence of YOKAI - Japan's mythical monsters. Captured, (at considerable risk to myself) while on an imaginary residency in Japan last autumn.

Based on Gyotaku fish prints made by Japanese fishermen to prove their catches, these original one-off prints were taken by catching and inking-up LIVE YOKAI, before pressing their wrigging forms onto the hand-made paper. They are each unique and provide absolute proof of the existence of Yokai.
This print is taken from a live Kitsune (fox spirit), these bewitching tricksters have the ability to create illusions so elaborate as to be almost indistinguishable from reality. They can have as many as 9 tails, growing one every 100 years, so this one is about 700 years old.
Made at considerable risk to myself, I can guarantee that no Yokai were injured in the making of these prints. Stamped and signed to certify authenticity.
The residency was made possible by the generous support of The Fondamento Dello Scherzo
