A capsule collection of original mini bloom size monoprints that celebrates the change of seasons and the not so distinct shift that happens as seasons change. Inspired by my work as a florist as well as an artist and the challenges that I face using colour in a new way.

As an artist, I tend to gravitate towards the same color pallet. In the past year I've been challenged with this as I also work as a florist, each week having to adjust my eye to new colors and pallets and combinations of fresh flowers I work with. This got me to thinking that I wanted to do my art like I do hand tied flower bouquets - especially as the seasons change to a more muted pallet. Challenging myself to new color combinations and textures and seeing what people respond to. I love a good challenge!
Funny thing is that as I progressed through this series, I started out with the muted pallet, then gravitated back to my neon brights as I did this series.
This collection is meant to celebrate the change of the seasons. Because as it happens, it's never quite one season or the other, but a confusing blur as we adjust ourselves to the change. Kindof like life as we evolve and shift. Moving forwards and backwards and zig zagging as we grow.
Each monoprint is created by hand painting onto a silkscreen and pulling the squeegee to transfer the image to paper. All one of a kind, each one is unique.
Original 23 cm x 23 cm monoprint on 300 GSM high quality archival paper.
