Only The Knight Knows

In the Year of the Fire Horse, a blue wooden chess-piece stands in place of the animal itself; still, strategic, and alert. Fire appears only in trace: a match recently struck, its force contained rather than released. Small, easily overlooked objects gather in the shallow space, hinting at utility, resistance, and quiet preparedness.

A symbol, barely noticed, speaks to those who know how to look. A fly drifts through the scene, a reminder of time, decay, and witness. Nothing here announces its intent. Everything waits.

The knight does not act.
But the knight knows.
