Kath Leone is a screenprint artist and textile designer from Cape Town, South Africa.
Kath has a neurological condition called synaesthesia, which results in continual additional colour, texture and shape perception when experiencing everyday sounds and words. This inspires her life-long love of working and experimenting with colour and influences her to create work which is highly detailed and composed of numerous complex layers of overlapping, translucent inks in a quest to achieve glow and otherworldly qualities of colour not experienced through sight alone.
