Mark Wigan is one of the UK’s foremost graphic artists. He began chronicling London night life and street culture in the 1980’s developing a style and visual language that would be hugely influential.
Not least on the scruffy bunch of 1990’s doodlers Scrawl Collective, from which ‘KIN was born. He is perhaps most well known for his iconic decoration of seminal acid house venue The Brain and for once gaining the soubriquet ‘Londons Keith Haring” an understandable if not entirely accurate comparison.
ART VS CANCER
All proceeds from the sale of Marks work will go towards Marks cancer treatment fundraiser for his wife, the artist, curator and filmmaker Kerry Baldry. Read more about the appeal here.
