Folk came from miles around to sample the chicken at the village Chicken Cottage shop. It tasted nothing like the chicken they’d tried in town and put the difference down to the plump free range hens which happily roamed the nearby land. The meat was so tender and juicy! However, the villagers might not be quite so quick to gobble down the succulent snacks if they knew they were actually sampling the local squirrels which plagued John, the head fryer, by constantly digging up his veg patch. Your secret is safe with us, John!
