Since you are here on the Art Car Boot Fair website, there’s a high chance that you’re into art, understand what you like and appreciate the life-affirming joy that owning artworks that you love gives. Every day.

As we approach the frenetic season of gifting and celebrating, maybe have a quick glance down your Christmas present list and think:  Who would appreciate a well chosen artwork. Then have a scroll through our ACBF November/December edit and try to match the person with an artwork.

Times are challenging for most of us economically, so we’ve invited a carefully curated selection of artists to come up with a range of perfectly giftable artworks at prices that mainly hover around the £50-£150 range.

You’ll find original one-offs, special print editions, idiosyncratic trinkets, ceramics, sculptures, t-shirts and artist books plus so much more!

A VERY SHORT GUIDE TO GIVING ART

Think of the recipients' personal style, the colours they like, whether they're into patterns or have a more minimalist aesthetic. 

Is their sense of humour sophisticated, dark or fairly puerile (!) What kind of places do they enjoy and what animals do they like. 

Are they urbanites or nature lovers, or both. 

What’s the style of their living space, their special interests and what kind of art do they already own.

 Which artists/art forms do they admire. 

Also, if you are framing the work for them, this is another chance to customise the art to fit in with their home environment and personal style - whether that's a blousy baroque gold frame or a beautifully crafted simple oak one. 

Mainly, don’t overthink it and go with your instinct.
